Legal Notice
Notice is hereby given that on May 4, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., the Zoning Hearing Board of East Brandywine Township will hold a public hearing to consider the application for a variance of Paul Failor. Applicant owns property at 181 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA (Subject Property), which is situated in the Township's R-2 Residential Zoning District. Applicant requests a variance from § 399-28(A)(5) (area and bulk regulations) of the Zoning Ordinance, which limits the total impervious surface to 12 % of net lot area, to construct a 24 x 24 pole barn/garage. The proposed use increases the total impervious cover on the property to 4,785 square feet, which is 819.4 square feet over the permitted 12%. To minimize public exposure to COVID-19, and maintain social distancing, the hearing will be held remotely via the anymeeting.com internet platform. No attendance in person will be allowed. Directions for connection to and participation in the public hearing will be published on the Township's publicly accessible website at www.ebrandywine.org. The pertinent information to attend the hearing can also be obtained by contacting the Township Manager at the phone number herein or by email at lukereven@ebrandywine.org. Public comment will be accepted at the hearing for those attending remotely via anymeeting.com/ebrandywine. A copy of the application may be examined at the Township building located at 1214 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA without charge by making a prior appointment, or obtained for a charge not greater than the copying cost thereof.
