How do I arrange for trash service?
For existing homes, trash pickup is automatic. For new homes, generally the property developer will contact the Township. Their trash service is handled by their Homeowners Association.

Yellow Wood Drive (Units #63 to #110)

If I have a business and use a commercial trash hauler do I still need to pay for trash and recycling?
These situations are handled on a case by case basis by the Township Manager. If you are a commercial business and are requesting relief from paying for trash and recycling fees you must make the request in writing, and provide copies of your waste hauler bills. Residents may not opt out of the trash program under any circumstances.

Do you provide trash or recycling cans?
Residents must provide their own trash cans. East Brandywine Township provides a blue paper recycling container and a green co-mingle recycling container. They can be picked up free of charge at the East Brandywine Township Municipal Building

Is there a limit to the amount of trash I can put out on regular trash day?
On regular trash day you may put out three (3) thirty-five gallon containers and/or bags of trash, plus paper and co-mingle recycling

When is bulk trash day?
What am I allowed to put out for bulk trash?
Bulk trash is picked up the last Tuesday of each month. You may dispose of one large item that can easily be lifted by two people. You may not dispose of building or hazardous materials.

What items can be recycled at curbside?
Paper recycling and co-mingle recycling (clear and colored glass, #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum and tin cans).

Does the Township offer any other ways to dispose of recycling?
The Township provides three dumpsters at the Township Building, one for paper, one for cardboard, and one for co-mingle recycling. They are located in back of the Municipal Building.
