When do you pick up leaves?
Fall
leaf collection for 2011 was the weeks of October 24th,
November 7th, and November 28th.
There
are no longer dedicated days for each development or street.
Please
place all leaves along side of the road on lawn area within
six feet (6’) of road edge.
Placing leaves on lawn allows the leaves to dry and
the vacuum can pick them up easier.
Leaves must not be placed on the roadway, as
this can cause a traffic hazard and will not be
picked up by the Road Crew. Do not block storm drain inlets
and drainage areas. Our
leaf vac cannot pick up sticks and branches so please do not
mix them with your leaf piles.
Leaves can be placed in paper leaf bags but not in
plastic bags.
Can I use plastic bags to put leaves at curbside?
Leaves may not be placed in plastic or any other bags not approved by the Township.
Where can I get bags to place leaves at curbside?
The Township no longer supplies leaf bags to residents. Residents may purchase leaf bags at stores such as Home Depot or Lowes to place along roadway during regular leaf pickup.

If my mail box is hit by a Township snow plow or snow coming off the plow during a storm who is responsible to fix or replace it?
If your mailbox is struck by the plow and is noted by the driver, the Township may replace your post and/or mailbox with a standard wood post and plastic mailbox. If the snow coming off the plow knocks the mailbox down it is your responsibility to replace the post and/or mailbox. Replacement is at the discretion of the Roadmaster and will be taken on a case by case basis. If your mailbox is hit by a PennDOT plow, please contact them at 610-436-2091.
Occasionally, I see colored markings along the road. What do these markings signify?
The colored markings on the roadway and in grass areas are probably due to a PA One Call. All Contractors and Residents three days prior to digging are required call PA One Call at 1 800.272.1776. Please visit their web site at www.paonecall.org for more information.
