East Brandywine Township rents park pavilions at a cost of $50.00 for residents and $100.00 for non-residents. Applications for pavilion rentals can be obtained at the East Brandywine Township Municipal Building.
How long is the trail loop around the Community Park on Dilworth Road?
Phase I Walking Trail: The “front loop,” beginning at the parking lot and winding around the soccer field nearest Dilworth Road, is approximately 1300 feet long. The “rear loop,” beginning at the trail intersection near the pavilion and traveling around the rear soccer field is approximately 1600 feet in length. The center section connecting both loops is 250 feet in length. If you walk the outer perimeter of the trails, the total distance is approximately 2400 feet.
Phase II Walking Trail: The “inner” loop (starting and finishing in the area of the pavilions) is a total distance of 2850 feet. Completing the “outer” loop (nearest Dilworth Road) adds another 1500 feet, for a total of 4350 feet. The center section from the “Y” in the trail on the south side of the Park to the intersection near the driveway leading to the farm behind the Park is approximately 1025 feet. If you complete the perimeter of the trail and finish with the center section near the pavilions, you will have walked slightly more than 1 mile.
The connector link between the two Parks is 75 feet in length.
